Our Values
Kids First
It really is all about the kids. Everything we do is for the benefit of the kids, plain and simple.
Respect
Respect for one another. This includes fellow parents, teachers, the school staff, and of course the students. It means treating each other with kindness and respecting differing opinions and ideas as well as each other's time.
Diversity
We welcome diversity! We live in a diverse and cross-cultural community and strive to ensure all feel welcome to participate in the CGS PTO.
Integrity
Trust is critical to any relationship or organization. We expect everyone involved in the PTO to act with integrity and honesty at all times.
Commitment
Participation in the PTO is 100% volunteer. We greatly value and appreciate the time and commitment each person makes when they attend a meeting or volunteer at an event. No matter how big or small the contribution, we rely on these commitments and can't succeed without them.
Fun
We're not just talking about fun times for the kiddos. We are all dedicating our personal time to do this work, so why not make it fun in the process? A positive attitude and good sense of humor can make all the difference. We hope it never feels like a chore or obligation to participate.
Teamwork
There is no I in PTO (as long as you stick with the abbreviation). We look for all to contribute in whatever way they can. If we stay true to all of the values above, we will have an amazing team of parents and teachers making the CGS a place our kids will look back on as adults with warm and happy memories.
